July 21, 2021 -- MSAC relies on a diverse array of experts from across the state of Maryland to do the important work of evaluating applications.

July 14, 2021 -- Based on public feedback, MSAC will spend the next year soliciting additional constituent participation in the building of the Independent Artist Network (IAN), a proposed artist employment initiative that would have affected Arts in Education program schedules in the coming year.

June 23, 2020 -- MSAC’s Independent Artist Awards (IAAs) recognize achievement by Maryland artists making work independent of an institution or organization. The awards are accompanied by grants of $2,000, $10,000, and $15,000 that encourage artistic growth and sustained practice.

June 16, 2021 -- MSAC relies on a diverse array of experts from across the state of Maryland to do the important work of evaluating applications.

MSAC is pleased to announce the creation of the Independent Artist Network (IAN), a new program that supports multi-faceted, long-range employment opportunities for artists.
