Arts in Education

The Arts in Education (AiE) program promotes and strengthens lifelong learning in the arts across Maryland's schools and communities.

The AiE program includes the Arts in Education grant, Teaching Artist Roster, and Poetry Out Loud. The AiE Grant provides funds for teaching artists to lead arts learning activities in school and community settings. The Teaching Artist Roster is a directory of artists whose work has gone through MSAC's application and panel review process. Poetry Out Loud is poetry recitation competition for high school students.

The words of great poets literally come to life in POL, the literary arts program created by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation. Through MSAC support, high school students across Maryland are enriched by this national arts education program, which encourages the mastery of great poetry through memorization, performance, and competition. Click here for more information
