David joined the staff of MSAC as a Program Director in June 2022 with over 17 years of experience as an artist, programmer and administrator. As a thespian, he received a BA from Morgan State University and an MFA from the New School for Social Research before returning to Baltimore in 2005. He’s worked as a full time lecturer and adjunct at several Baltimore based colleges and universities. He has also been a facilitator and major "catalyst" in bringing together diverse segments of the performing arts community.
Prior to his work at MSAC he held managing positions at Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (Citywide Special Events), The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts (South Baltimore Initiatives), the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (founding the Urban Arts Leadership program). When he’s not at work, David enjoys volunteering regularly at Arena Players Incorporated (the oldest African American community theater in the country) and exploring the cultural treasures of Maryland with his daughter.
