Gregory W. Tucker is the Founder and Principal of The Tucker Group LLC – a strategic communications advisory practice that provides essential services related to brand positioning, reputation management, and media relations, employing approaches and tactics to advance individual and organizational objectives, mitigate reputation risk and engage essential stakeholders.
Gregory began his career as a press secretary in the U.S. House of Representatives. Moving to Baltimore in 1997, he served as the Vice President of Public Relations and Community Affairs for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra until joining Aegon NV in 2004, an international financial services group specializing in retirement, life insurance and asset management solutions. During his fourteen years with Aegon and its U.S. subsidiary Transamerica (including seven years based in The Hague, The Netherlands), Gregory led communications internationally, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility, and also served as Executive Director of the Aegon/Transamerica Foundation.
Gregory is a past board chair of the American Heart Association (Greater Maryland Region), and served on the boards of the Living Classrooms Foundation, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Center Club, and a board member of the Center Club Foundation, and is also a Founding Director of the Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards. In addition to being an accomplished pianist, Gregory is an avid consumer of books on history, politics and enjoys golf and biking.
