The Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster is a list of juried Maryland-based artists who have a demonstrated history of successful, professional touring engagements.

MSAC uses the roster to promote artistic collaboration between Maryland touring artists and Maryland presenters with the goal of increasing touring engagements for Maryland professional performing artists. To view the Roster, click here to access our Arts Directory. A PDF of the roster can also be found by clicking here

    Applicants must:

    • Be 18 years of age or older

    • Meet Maryland residency requirements (see Guidelines for further information)

    • Be able to demonstrate a successful history of professional touring engagements

Please note that applications forms in Smart Simple have been updated for FY24. Your application ID # should begin with '2024.' If it does not, you are working off a draft started from a previous year and will not be able to submit it. Please open a new FY24 application under the "Funding Opportunities" menu.

Applications, including all work samples, must be completed in Smart Simple. MSAC utilizes a multi-disciplinary, statewide grant panel to electronically review (approve or deny) applications for the Touring Roster.

Applications for the Touring Roster are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed monthly by a panel.

See the Grant Guidelines for detailed information.

Touring Roster applicants will be notified via Smart Simple following the monthly review of their application. Please refer to the guidelines for additional details on the review schedule.

There are no Final Report requirements for Roster Artists. Artists that do not receive bookings within any fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) will be asked to submit a request for continuance on the roster that will be reviewed by MSAC Program Directors.

See the Grant Guidelines for detailed information.
